Master Director, Barbara Hodge

Under the direction of Master Director Barbara Hodge, Circle of Harmony is committed to musical excellence.  Each year, the 60+ members raise the bar, setting new benchmarks whilst maintaining both a warm and fun atmosphere during rehearsals and performances.

Formed in 1998, this exciting chorus competes annually in the Sweet Adelines International regional competition.  In 2017, their vision, hard work and dedication resulted in a 2nd place ranking in Region 16 at the Regional Competition in Syracuse, New York.

Even more exciting – Their regional score meant that we were offered one of only 10 coveted international wildcard invitations! They will compete in the semi-final round of the Sweet Adelines International competition on October 18, 2018 to be held in St. Louis, Missouri. Way to go chorus!

Circle of Harmony puts a new face on Circle of Harmonyfour-part harmony in the region.  In addition to the traditional barbershop style, Circle of Harmony sings songs that span a wide range of genres, from standards to Broadway, gospel to popular songs. Audiences are captivated by Circle of Harmony’s unique performances and become hooked on this a cappella craft.

The chorus has captured the attention and hearts of ordinary women who love to sing and who have become dedicated members, some traveling 90 km to be a part of Circle of Harmony’s warm and caring spirit.

Mission statement: Circle of Harmony is a chorus of women, dedicated to learning and performing quality four-part harmony with a caring spirit that shows our love of singing.

Circle of Harmony is a registered Canadian charity.
